Washington hiking trails - Dark Meadows Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Yakima County

   
  Each hiking trail in Washington has its own unique splendor. Because Dark Meadows Trail is very far from civilization, when you backcountry walk it you're always having a tremendous time. If you happen to be in Washington, why not go hiking, it is something that is always fun to do. You should count on this backcountry walk taking about 4.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. This is a two-ended backcountry hiking trail with two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can hike
    it just one way. Even though this is not a very long wilderness hiking trail it's always glorious to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. There are so many nice hiking trails for hiking in Washington; one of them being Dark Meadows Trail in Yakima County.
High temperatures at Dark Meadows Trail during the summer are in the 60's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's. During the winter highs are in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Dark Meadows Trail descend into the 10's. Being 5.4 miles long it's an average length backcountry hiking trail. You spend the whole backcountry walk in roughly the same elevation zone which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. Backpacking and hiking trails like this one here in the Northern  
Cascade Range are a glorious way to explore these mountains. No chance of getting bored in Washington if you like nature. This is a neighborhood covered with lots of great outdoors trails. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in location. This backcountry hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 619 feet which is a lower than average number. We all need to get out in the outdoors once in a while, and if you happen to be in Yakima County of Washington, Dark Meadows Trail is a tremendous local hiking and backpacking trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. This backpacking trail is a normal length backpacking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a magnificent great outdoors trail for the average person looking for a magnificent adventure. The high level of rain makes Dark Meadows Trail a rather wet site; the month with most of the snow is January, and July is the month with the least moisture.

Knuppenburg Lake Campground is a fine campground nearby, and why not check out close by South Fork Clear Creek while you're here at Dark Meadows Trail. That right there is a load of cool stuff already but it goes on, the Northern Cascade Range has it all. It's a glorious idea to pop by North Fork Clear Creek, it's in the vicinity of Dark Meadows Trail, and get your heart beating on the pleasant whitewater of Summit Creek.
White Pass Campground is a pleasant local campground; a perfect location to go to is White Pass. You can run the rapids of Cowlitz River - Clear Fork near Dark Meadows Trail.
