For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Coxit Creek Trail dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. These hiking trails here in the Northern Cascade Range are the best way to enjoy these mountaintops. There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end which means you have the option of backpacking it one way if  
you have someone to pick you up at the other end. This backpacking and hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 2,089 feet which is about average. Around Coxit Creek Trail you don’t get a lot of precipitation; the month with most of the snow is December; the driest of the months is July. Being 7.6 miles long it's an average length hiking trail. This is a long backpacking and hiking trail, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Each hiking trail in Washington is well worth a backcountry hike. This trek shouldn't take more than 6.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Coxit Creek Trail is very far from the nearest large city, and backcountry trekking is such an enjoyable thing to do, and this is a nice place to do that.
