Washington hiking trails - Cougar Valley Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Yakima County

Backcountry backpacking here in Washington is a splendid idea. A visit to Washington is not complete without some backcountry backpacking. Cougar Valley Trail is a wet place that gets lots of rainfall; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. The time needed for this backcountry
    trek is roughly 3.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. It's a lengthy trip from Ellensburg to Cougar Valley Trail, but hiking along this wilderness hiking trail is very fun. This is just one of a large number of hiking
and backpacking trails in this neighborhood. The warmest time of the year at Cougar Valley Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and nighttime lows at Cougar Valley Trail through the wintertime usually descend into the 20's. This trail is a normal length trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a glorious hiking and backpacking trail for the average person looking for a glorious adventure. The total elevation difference for  
Cougar Valley Trail is 587 feet which is lower than average. Cougar Valley Trail has only one trailhead, so you'll be backcountry hiking it in and back out. Every Washington wilderness hiking trail is picturesque in its own way. Cougar Valley Trail is not that long but it's always good to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. There's not much difference in elevation along Cougar Valley Trail, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your walk. The picturesque trails of the Northern Cascade Range are the best way to enjoy these summits. Alright, enough of spending all this time inside a building, time to get out, and Cougar Valley Trail in Yakima County, Washington is a perfect site for getting out. With its 4 miles of walking distance it's an average length great outdoors trail.

And if that's not enough there's a load more entertaining things to do in the Northern Cascade Range. Get drenched paddling on American River; camping at Lodgepole Campground is always a great experience. Float down the rapids of American River in a kayak.
A wonderful location to camp here at Cougar Valley Trail is Pleasant Valley Campground, and Louisiana Saddle is another nice site to pop by nearby.
