Washington hiking trails - Cortright Creek Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Lewis County       There are so many great backpacking trails for hiking in Washington, and Cortright Creek Trail in Lewis County is one of them. Cortright Creek Trail is a one trailhead hiking trail, so in and out is the way to backcountry trek it normally. Cortright Creek Trail is 12.6 miles long; it's longer than many hiking trails. Backcountry backpacking here in the Northern Cascade Range is a splendid way to explore these mountains. This trek should take you about     2 days, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. Hitting the wilderness trails is always a cool thing to do, and Cortright Creek Trail in Lewis County, Washington is just the place. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in spot. This is a long hiking trail, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. The total elevation difference for Cortright Creek Trail is 2,935 feet which is higher than average. High temperatures at Cortright Creek Trail through the days of summer are in the 60's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while Cortright Creek Trail night low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. Briefly about the general area: Not far from Cortright Creek Trail you find Cortright Point, and why not camp at Soda Springs Campground if you're here at Cortright Creek Trail. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Northern Cascade Range. If you come at the right time of year, Summit Creek offers some nice whitewater. This river is so good. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Fish Ladder Falls; a wooded neighborhood close by is Gifford Pinchot National Forest. So much cool stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range, not sufficient time. There are some great whitewater spots on Cowlitz River - Clear Fork, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Allred Creek. So much amusing stuff close to Cortright Creek Trail, clearly extraordinary. Carlton Pass is a fine location to check out close by, and if you came for an overnight stay Knuppenburg Lake Campground is a fine spot to camp. A visit to Cortright Creek Trail wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Log Spring; some of the water nearby flows, like Pony Creek.
