Washington hiking trails - Cooper Pass Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Kittitas County

   
  This part of Washington is always a joy to pop by during trekking season. When was the last time you got out in the outdoors a bit? Cooper Pass Trail in Kittitas County, Washington is just the location. There are numerous wilderness hiking trails in Washington, and each one has its own unique loveliness. This is just one of a large number of hiking trails in this area. During the warm months at Cooper Pass Trail highs are ordinarily in the 60's with overnight lows in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight
    here at Cooper Pass Trail. Cooper Pass Trail has a total elevation difference of 515 feet which is lower than average. The backcountry trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole backcountry trail.
Rather far from Ellensburg you bump into Cooper Pass Trail, but It's always exciting to backcountry walk here. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. When you're here in Washington backpacking along one of its wilderness hiking trails never gets boring. This is a two-ended hiking trail with two trailheads, so backpacking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. This hike shouldn't take more than 9 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Trails are nice and plentiful  
in Washington, and Cooper Pass Trail in Kittitas County is one of them. Cooper Pass Trail commonly gets a good deal of rain; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. The length of Cooper Pass Trail is on the longer side having an average number of uphill miles which makes this hiking trail great for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. This is a hiking and backpacking trail that is quite long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. With its 9.8 miles of walking distance; it's longer than many backcountry trails. The wilderness trails of the Northern Cascade Range are a really fine way to spend quality time in the wilderness.

Briefly about the general area:
There's some flowing water nearby, No Name Creek is a stream you can stop by during your stay; you can run the rapids of Cooper River. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff right next door to Cooper Pass Trail.
Get your heart beating on the delightful whitewater of Box Canyon Creek; if you came to camp Crystal Springs Campground is a brilliant location to do that. French Cabin Basin is a good site here at Cooper Pass Trail, and Copper Pass is another great location to take a look at close by. So many amusing things to do here in the Northern Cascade Range, too great to be true. Mineral Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth stopping at. There's so much to do here at Cooper Pass Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Kachess Campground is a good spot for that.
