| | Rather far from Ellensburg you bump into Cooper Pass Trail, but It's always exciting to backcountry walk here. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. When you're here in Washington backpacking along one of its wilderness hiking trails never gets boring. This is a two-ended hiking trail with two trailheads, so backpacking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. Briefly about the general area: There's some flowing water nearby, No Name Creek is a stream you can
stop by during your stay; you can run the rapids of Cooper River. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff right next door to Cooper Pass Trail. Get your heart beating on the delightful whitewater of Box Canyon Creek; if you came to camp Crystal Springs Campground is a
brilliant location to do that. French Cabin Basin is a good site here at Cooper Pass Trail, and Copper Pass is another great location to take a look at close by. So many amusing things to do here in the Northern Cascade Range, too great to be true. Mineral Creek is one of the
streams close by that might be worth stopping at. There's so much to do here at Cooper Pass Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Kachess Campground is a good spot for that.
