This great outdoors trail goes through some very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. This backcountry trek shouldn't take more than 7 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. With its 8 miles of walking distance it's a mid length trek. Clutch Trail has a total elevation difference of 2,056 feet which is about average. Now this wilderness hiking trail is pretty long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. This vicinity does get very dry sometimes, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. This backcountry hiking trail has only one trailhead, so you're looking at an in and out walk.
