The high level of rainfall makes Clear Fork Trail a relatively wet place; throughout January this area sees the most snow while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Hiking trails like this one here in the Northern Cascade Range are a very great way to see these mountains. Clear Fork Trail has a total elevation difference of 2,000 feet which is about average. Different parts of Clear Fork Trail are at very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for  
different conditions on different parts of the hiking trail. Clear Fork Trail has only one trailhead, so you're looking at an in and out trek. This backcountry walk should take you about 2.5 days, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. Being 18.2 miles long; it's a long hiking trail. For the duration of the months of summer at Clear Fork Trail temperatures are mostly in the 60's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Clear Fork Trail dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. There are numerous wilderness trails in Washington, and each one has its own unique attractiveness.

Getting to Chimney Creek from Clear Fork Trail is easy, and if you came for an overnight stay Knuppenburg Lake Campground is a great location to camp. If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in the Northern Cascade Range. There's whitewater on Summit Creek for all you adrenaline junkies, and do take some time to explore Gifford Pinchot National Forest if you're here. Take a little visit to Coyote Creek since you're here at Clear Fork Trail, and a brilliant spot like McCall Basin here at Clear Fork Trail is too tremendous to miss.
You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things in the Northern Cascade Range. Packwood Saddle is near Clear Fork Trail and is a brilliant location; Soda Springs Campground is a great local campground. Cortright Point is quite right next door to Clear Fork Trail, and a journey to Hidden Spring will fill your soul with delightful feelings.
