At parts of the year this neighborhood sees very little rain, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Different parts of this wilderness hiking trail are at very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. You should count on this trek taking about 7.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Clark Ridge Trail has only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to trek it normally. Being 8.4 miles long it's an average length wilderness hiking trail.
