Washington hiking trails - Cathedral Driveway, Northern Cascade Range, Okanogan County       It's a long trip from Wenatchee to Cathedral Driveway, but it's one of those spots where backcountry hiking is nice. Can’t wait to get out in the great outdoors, Cathedral Driveway in Okanogan County, Washington is a really nice spot to spend some time. Some parts of Cathedral Driveway are much higher up than other parts of the backcountry hiking trail, and that means that some parts of the backcountry hiking trail could be very different from other parts of it. At Cathedral Driveway you don’t see much rain; the wettest   month of the year is ordinarily December, that's the one that snows the most; July meanwhile is the driest month. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Being 9.6 miles long; it's considered a longer walk. Cathedral Driveway has only one trailhead, so you'll be hiking it in and back out. Washington is a wonderful place for backcountry hikers. Sometimes this backpacking trail gets really dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. Keep in mind that this is a long backpacking trail, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Hiking in Washington never gets boring. This hike shouldn't take more than 8.5 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Briefly about the general area: Yeah, come up here to the Northern Cascade Range for a good time. Bernhardt Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out; you might also want to pay a visit to Baldy Pass while you're here at Cathedral Driveway. A glorious site to camp here at Cathedral Driveway is Tiffany Spring Campground. Camping is available at Derry's Resort-pearrygin Lake, and Beaver Meadow is a good place here at Cathedral Driveway. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Chewuch River; there's some flowing water close by, Baldy Creek is a stream you can explore while here.
