Washington hiking trails - Castle Mountain Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Pierce County

   
  There are so many delightful backcountry trails for trekking in Washington, and among these are Castle Mountain Trail in Pierce County. There are numerous backcountry trails in Washington, and each one has its own unique beauty. When you're here in Washington trekking along one of its backcountry trails is so much fun. There are not too many backpacking trails in this area. Castle Mountain Trail is in a quite isolated area, and there's fine natural beauty right here for you along it. A great deal of precipitation falls at Castle Mountain Trail; the month
    with most of the rain is January, and July on the other hand is the driest. Castle Mountain Trail is on the short side with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a good backpacking trail for the average person looking for a good adventure. You spend the whole backcountry
walk in roughly the same elevation zone, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole hiking and backpacking trail. The total elevation difference for Castle Mountain Trail is 591 feet which is a lower than average number. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. You should count on this backcountry walk taking about 2.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Being 3 miles long it's a shorter type backcountry walk. During the warm months highs here at Castle  
Mountain Trail get into the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Castle Mountain Trail drop into the 20's. The delightful hiking trails of the Northern Cascade Range are the best way to enjoy these mountains. Castle Mountain Trail has only one trailhead, so you'll be backcountry backpacking it in and back out. Outdoors people generally like this part of Washington. Time to get out, and breathe some fresh air, and Castle Mountain Trail in Pierce County, Washington is a really fine place to spend some time. Even though this is not a very long great outdoors trail you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens.

Briefly about the general area:
Hardwood Creek is a nice local stream; if you came to camp Dry Creek Campground is a delightful location to do that. Having a delightful time in the Northern Cascade Range is simple. Corral Pass is a brilliant spot to discover, and Castle Mountain Trail is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Morse Creek Campground is a wonderful local campground.
White River has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot nearby.
