Washington hiking trails - Castle Mountain Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Pierce County

   
  A visit to Washington is not complete without some backcountry hiking. When you're here in Washington backcountry trekking along one of its wilderness hiking trails is so much fun. Washington has plenty of great wilderness hiking trails, and one of these is Castle Mountain Trail in Pierce County. Castle Mountain Trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. Castle Mountain Trail is a very short hiking trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes this wilderness
    hiking trail good for the average backcountry hiker looking for an exciting adventure. Finally, hiking time is here again, and Castle Mountain Trail in Pierce County, Washington is just what you need. With its 3 miles of walking distance it's shorter than many great outdoors trails.
This is a one trailhead great outdoors trail, so you're looking at an in and out hike. This backpacking trail is not that long but it's always brilliant to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. Trekking here in the Northern Cascade Range is a really fine way to spend quality time in the outdoors. This is one of a very small number of wilderness hiking trails in this area. There are plenty of wilderness hiking trails in Washington; each one of them is well worth a trek. The time needed for this hike is roughly 2.5 hours, but you  
never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. A good deal of rain falls at Castle Mountain Trail; the month with most of the rain is January, and July is when it's the driest. Castle Mountain Trail is pretty secluded from the least distant city, and it is one of many great backcountry trails in this area. For the duration of the warm days of summer highs here at Castle Mountain Trail reach the 70's while overnight lows are mostly in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Castle Mountain Trail are in the 20's. This great outdoors trail has a total elevation difference of 591 feet which is a lower than average number.

Briefly about the general area:
White River has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot close by. All the outdoors amusing things in the Northern Cascade Range will keep you coming back repeatedly. Hardwood Creek flows through this neighborhood, and if you came to camp Dry Creek Campground is a nice spot to do that.
If you would like a little side spree, try Corral Pass, and camping at Morse Creek Campground is always a glorious experience.
