Washington hiking trails - Bluff Lake Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Lewis County       We all need to get out in the wilderness once in a while, and Bluff Lake Trail in Lewis County, Washington is a really pleasant location to spend some time. Backcountry trekking here in Washington never gets boring. It's a long drive from Wenatchee to Bluff Lake Trail, but if you're looking for a brilliant location to go backcountry backpacking, this is a brilliant selection. Different parts of this backcountry hiking trail are at very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. This part of     Washington has a good deal of available outdoors endeavors. There are plenty of backpacking trails in Washington; each one of them is charming in its own way. The total elevation difference for Bluff Lake Trail is 3,531 feet which is a higher than average number. Bluff Lake Trail is many miles long with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this backpacking trail nice for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. Bluff Lake Trail is a one trailhead backcountry trail, so in and out is the way to backcountry hike it normally. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. This is an area covered with lots of backpacking trails. Of course, this is an overnight walk, 3 days normally, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. At Bluff Lake Trail you don’t see much rainfall; the   month of December is the wettest with most of the snow; the driest month is July. Backcountry hiking here in the Northern Cascade Range is a very fine way to see these hills. At parts of the year this region sees very little rain, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. With its 19 miles of walking distance; it's longer than many backcountry hiking trails. During the warm months, highs frequently are in the 80's at Bluff Lake Trail; the night is a tad cooler of course, mostly in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's; night lows in the 10's for Bluff Lake Trail. Now this hiking trail is pretty long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. There are backpacking trails all over Washington; Bluff Lake Trail is one of them, and it's in Lewis County. Briefly about the general area: There's no way someone can get bored here in the Northern Cascade Range. You can run the rapids of Chewuch River close to Bluff Lake Trail. Camping at Loup Loup Campground is always a tremendous experience; a spree to Wray Spring will fill your soul with magnificent feelings. Now, you may assume that's a lot but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Bluff Lake Trail. While you're here at Bluff Lake Trail it's a pleasant idea to check out Beaver Meadow; of course Lightning Creek flows through this area. A pleasant trip to Cougar Flat is a magnificent way to spend an afternoon; there's whitewater on Chewuch River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. So many amusing things to do in the Northern Cascade Range, not enough time. Bluff Lake Trail is good enough to spend more than a day at, Davis Lake Campground is a good local campground, and don't leave Bluff Lake Trail without first paying a visit to Coffin Spring. Burns Canyon is a glorious location to spend some time at, and a quick spree to Blue Buck Creek is definitely a good idea.
