Washington hiking trails - Bluff Lake Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Lewis County

Bluff Lake Trail is a very long hiking trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes this hiking and backpacking trail delightful for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. High temperatures at Bluff Lake Trail during the long summer days are in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's; overnight lows in the 10's for Bluff Lake Trail. You'll have got to go far from Wenatchee to get  
to Bluff Lake Trail, but it's one of those spots where backcountry trekking is nice. Each great outdoors trail in Washington has its own character. Being 19 miles long; it's longer than many trails. This backcountry trek should take you about 3 days, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. Bluff Lake Trail has only one trailhead, so you'll be hiking it in and back out. The total elevation difference for Bluff Lake Trail is 3,531 feet, and that is higher than average. Different parts of this trail are at very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the trail could be very different from other parts of it. Bluff Lake Trail is quite long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. When you're here in Washington backpacking along one of its great outdoors trails is a magnificent way to spend some time.

Be careful coming to Bluff Lake Trail, you might not ever wanna return home again. In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Chewuch River, and Bluff Lake Trail is a good place to visit for more than one day, Davis Lake Campground is a good place to camp nearby. Why not explore close by Lightning Creek if you're here at Bluff Lake Trail, and whitewater paddling is wonderful on Chewuch River.
You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things in the Northern Cascade Range. Don’t forget to go to Cougar Flat since you're here at Bluff Lake Trail. A visit to Wray Spring will fill your soul with good feelings. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Bluff Lake Trail has to offer, you can camp at Loup Loup Campground. Don't leave Bluff Lake Trail without first paying a visit to Coffin Spring, and obviously Blue Buck Creek is a striking stream that is worth checking out.
That right there is plenty of enjoyable things already but it goes on, the Northern Cascade Range has it all. Beaver Meadow is a good place here at Bluff Lake Trail, and close by you discover good sites like Burns Canyon.
