Washington hiking trails - Blankenship Meadows Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Yakima County

   
  This part of Washington has a wonderful deal of available outdoors endeavors. Blankenship Meadows Trail is positioned a rather long tour from Ellensburg, but it sure is a a nice wilderness hiking trail. If you happen to be in Washington, why not go backcountry hiking, it never gets boring. This is just one of a large number of wilderness trails in this vicinity. Gotta get out of the town man, and Blankenship Meadows Trail in Yakima County, Washington is a really glorious place to spend some time. Backpacking here in the Northern Cascade Range is a very
    splendid way to see these mountains. This is a long wilderness trail, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. With its 7.4 miles of walking distance it's a mid length backcountry hike. This backcountry trek shouldn't take more than 6.5 hours, but you never know stuff could
go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. There's not much difference in elevation along the backpacking trail, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your backcountry hike. Splendid trails in Washington are in abundance, and Blankenship Meadows Trail in Yakima County is one of them. All the water falling down from the sky makes Blankenship Meadows Trail a wet place; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow, and July is when it's the driest. Every Washington trail is different from the others.  
The total elevation difference for this backpacking trail is 1,367 feet which is an average number. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. Summer brings highs in the 60's to Blankenship Meadows Trail with nighttime lows in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's; after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Blankenship Meadows Trail fall into the 10's. This hiking trail is a mid length hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a tremendous wilderness trail for experienced backcountry trekkers in fine shape. This is a one trailhead backpacking trail, so in and out is the way to backcountry hike it normally.

Briefly about the general area:
Stay the night at White Pass Campground. Since you're here at Blankenship Meadows Trail why not pop by Mosquito Valley; everybody loves Indian Creek Meadows.
Now, you may imagine that's plenty but there's even more amusing things to do here in the Northern Cascade Range. If you come at the right time of year, Bumping River offers some nice whitewater; Blankenship Meadows is a wonderful place. This river is a wonderful place to visit. Get yourself into a kayak and hit American River; Blankenship Meadows Trail is a glorious site to camp, Bumping Lake - Wenatchee National Forest is a glorious site.
