Bismarck Trail is 14.2 miles long; it's a long backcountry hiking trail. Bismarck Trail is to be found a quite long tour from Ellensburg, but if you're looking for a tremendous place to

Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. This backcountry hiking trail goes through some very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. Summertime highs  
at Bismarck Trail regularly tend to be in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's; night lows through the winter for Bismarck Trail tend to be in the 20's. This is a neighborhood covered with lots of backpacking and hiking trails. Of course, this is an overnight trek, 2 days normally, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. The length of this great outdoors hiking trail is on the longer side having an average number of uphill miles which makes it an outstanding backpacking and hiking trail for experienced trekkers in great shape. Bismarck Trail gets lots of water; the month with most of the rain is January, and the driest month is July.

Briefly about the general area:
There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Bismarck Trail. Take a side spree to Deep Creek. Why not camp at Boat Landing Campground since you're here at Bismarck Trail, and Carmelita Basin is a lovely place any time of year.
Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend American River, and while you're here why not explore Mosquito Valley. Yeah, come up here to the Northern Cascade Range for a nice time. Copper Creek is a wonderful site to have a look at; Indian Creek Meadows is a great location to check out. Get your heart pumping on the wonderful whitewater of Bumping River, and camping is available at Bumping Lake - Wenatchee National Forest.
