Washington hiking trails - Bernhardt Trail, Northern Cascade Range, Okanogan County

   
  Bernhardt Trail is quite far from the most adjacent urban center, and when you walk it you're always having a good time. If you are in Washington during backcountry backpacking season you have to go backcountry backpacking. Each one of the many backpacking and hiking trails of Washington is different from the others. Being 4 miles long it's an average length great outdoors hiking trail. Backpacking here in the Northern Cascade Range is a fine way to explore these mountaintops. We all need to get out in the wilderness once in a while, and Bernhardt Trail
    in Okanogan County, Washington is the wilderness at its best. At Bernhardt Trail through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's, and the overnight is a little cooler of course, regularly in the 40's. During the wintertime highs are regularly in the 20's while Bernhardt
Trail overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. This wilderness hiking trail sometimes gets very dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. Around Bernhardt Trail you don’t get a lot of rain; during December this vicinity sees the most snow, and July is the month with the least moisture. If you happen to be in Washington, why not go backcountry trekking, it is something that is always fun to do. Bernhardt Trail is a normal length great outdoors hiking  
trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a tremendous wilderness hiking trail for the average person looking for a tremendous adventure. Bernhardt Trail goes through some very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the great outdoors hiking trail could be very different from other parts of it. Bernhardt Trail has only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to backcountry trek it normally. This is a region covered with lots of wilderness hiking trails. You should count on this backcountry trek taking about 3.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Bernhardt Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,705 feet which is an average number. This is not a very long wilderness hiking trail but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. There are so many perfect backpacking and hiking trails for backcountry trekking in Washington, and Bernhardt Trail is one of them, and it's in Okanogan County. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go.

All year is a magnificent time in the Northern Cascade Range if you love the outdoors. A visit to Whistler Pass is always fun, and you can stay the night at Salmon Meadows Campground. Coming to this river is always a good idea. Brown Meadows is right here at Bernhardt Trail.
A journey to Brown Meadows revives the spirit, and Tiffany Spring Campground is a magnificent campground here.
