There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end, so hiking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. The total elevation difference for this trail is 1,877 feet, and that is about average. This is a backpacking and hiking trail that is quite long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. Beaver Lake Trail is 8.2 miles long it's an average length wilderness trail. This area does get very dry sometimes, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Beaver Lake Trail goes through some very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the wilderness trail. You should count on this backcountry hike taking about 7 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that.
