This wilderness hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 1,626 feet which is about average. This great outdoors trail sometimes gets very dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. This backcountry hike shouldn't take more than 4.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Being 5 miles long it's a mid length walk. Some parts of this hiking trail are much higher up than other parts of the hiking trail, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. This wilderness hiking trail has two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can trek it just one way. Bear Mountain Trail is not that long but it's always perfect to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen.
