This great outdoors hiking trail is a very long great outdoors hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this backpacking trail fine for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. Now, this is roughly a 2.5-day trek, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. This backcountry trail has a total elevation difference of 3,014 feet which is higher than average. Different parts of Antoine Trail are at very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the great outdoors trail could be very different from  
other parts of it. This trail sometimes gets very dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. This is a trail that is quite long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. Around Antoine Trail you don’t get a lot of rain; December is the wettest month with most snow, and July is when it's the driest. With its 15 miles of walking distance; it's considered a longer backcountry walk. During the summertime here at Antoine Trail, high temperatures generally reach the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's, and night lows at Antoine Trail through the wintertime ordinarily fall into the 10's.

Briefly about the general area:
It's always wonderful to explore Lightning Spring, and since you're here, you could go to East Fork Myers Creek. A tour to Bigham Flat revitalizes the spirit. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Antoine Trail has to offer, you can camp at Lost Lake Campground.
That right there is a lot already, but it keeps on going; Antoine Trail has it all. Put some time aside to spend at Owl Spring while you're here at Antoine Trail. There's so much to do here at Antoine Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Bonaparte Lake Resort and Restaurant is a perfect place for that. While staying at Antoine Trail you could always explore Eden Valley, and as expected Mill Creek flows through this area.
