Zigzag Trail is a two ended hiking trail with two trailheads, so backpacking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. With its 4.4 miles of walking distance it's a mid length hike. At parts of the year this vicinity sees very little rain, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. This backcountry trail goes through some very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the backcountry trail could be very different from other parts of it. Even though this is not a very long hiking and backpacking trail it's always good to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. This trek shouldn't take more than 3.5 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. This hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 1,553 feet, and that is about average.
