This neighborhood does get very dry sometimes, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. Finally, hiking time is here again, and Wolf Spring Trail in Marion County, Oregon is just the location.
    Wolf Spring Trail is on the short side with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a tremendous hiking trail for the average person looking for a tremendous adventure. This backcountry hike shouldn't take more than 2 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower
and some a bit faster. Trails for backcountry trekking, and backpacking can be found all over Oregon, and Wolf Spring Trail is one of them, and it's in Marion County. The gorgeous great outdoors hiking trails of the Central Cascade Range are a really delightful way to spend quality time in the fresh air. The total elevation difference for this hiking trail is 549 feet, and that is lower than average. This is a two-ended hiking trail with two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can hike it just one way. High temperatures at Wolf Spring Trail  
all through the summertime are in the 70's, and the overnight is quite chillier of course, typically in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and overnight lows in the 30's for Wolf Spring Trail. There's not much difference in elevation along Wolf Spring Trail, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your backcountry trek. Backcountry hiking here in Oregon is the great thing to do. Wolf Spring Trail is a wet spot that gets a lot of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is December while July is commonly the driest month. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. With its 2.2 miles of walking distance it's a shorter type backcountry trek. This hiking trail is not that long but it's always great to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen.

Wolf Spring Trail is a fine place to visit for more than one day, Trout Lake Campground is a fine place to camp nearby, and Wolf Spring is an inspiring location to explore while here. Now, you may feel that's a lot but there's even more amusing things to do here in the Central Cascade Range. A short spree to Cub Spring is always worthwhile, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Lemiti Creek.
Some of the water close by flows, like Squirrel Creek, and Lemiti Campground is a great local campground.
