  There are so many perfect wilderness hiking trails for backpacking in Oregon, and one of these is Windy Lakes Trail in Klamath County. Windy Lakes Trail is a backcountry hiking trail quite far from Klamath Falls, but it is an exciting spot to backcountry trek. This is a long backcountry hiking trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. For the period of the summer at Windy Lakes Trail temperatures are typically in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's.
    High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Windy Lakes Trail. Here in Oregon backpacking is something that is always fun to do. All the water falling down from the sky makes Windy Lakes Trail a wet location; all
through the month of December you get the most rain around here, and July is when it's the driest. You spend the whole backcountry trek in roughly the same elevation zone which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. At parts of the year this neighborhood sees very little rain, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. The scenic backcountry hiking trails of the Central Cascade Range are a really magnificent way to spend quality time in the fresh air. The length of Windy Lakes Trail is about average  
with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this a very tough trail for advanced backcountry trekkers looking for a glorious challenge. Time to get out, and breathe some fresh air, and Windy Lakes Trail in Klamath County, Oregon is a magnificent spot for getting out. The time needed for this backcountry walk is roughly 7 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Windy Lakes Trail has only one trailhead, so you're looking at an in and out trek. There are so many trails in this neighborhood. This part of Oregon has a magnificent deal of available outdoors pursuits. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in spot. The total elevation difference for this backpacking and hiking trail is 1,381 feet which is about average. With its 8 miles of walking distance it's an average length hiking trail.

Briefly about the general area:
So many fun things to do in the Central Cascade Range, not enough time. Whitefish Creek is near Windy Lakes Trail and is always a diversion to have a look at. There's so much to do here at Windy Lakes Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Shelter Cove Resort is a tremendous site for that. If you came to camp Lake Lucile Campground is a splendid site to do that, and a spree to Bingham Meadow rejuvenates the spirit.
This river has it all. There's some flowing water nearby, Cowhorn Creek is a stream you can pop by while here; you are close to Tandy Bay if you're here.
