for this wilderness trail is 769 feet, and that is lower than average. Wilson Cove Trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. The length of this backcountry trail is about average with an
average amount of climbing distance which makes this a very tough backcountry trail for advanced walkers looking for a tremendous challenge. This backcountry hike shouldn't take more than 8 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for
that. Throughout the summertime, highs frequently are in the 60's at Wilson Cove Trail. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Wilson Cove Trail are in the 20's.
Briefly about
the general area: Cold Spring is a pleasant local attraction, and if you came to camp Lower Twin Campground is a delightful spot to do that. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. This is a great river. Nearby Red Wolf Pass is a glorious location to go if you're
at Wilson Cove Trail, and a pleasant site for whitewater paddling is White River. Be careful coming to the Central Cascade Range, you might not ever want to return home again. It's a wonderful idea to stop by Cedar Swamp Creek, it's in the neighborhood of Wilson Cove Trail, and
White River is a splendid whitewater spot nearby. Wilson Cove Trail is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Dam Campground is a fine local campground, and do put some time aside to spend at Deadman Spring while you're here at Wilson Cove Trail.
