Oregon hiking trails - White Rock Trail, Southern Cascade Range, Douglas County

   
  Oregon is a magnificent location for trekkers. There are trails all over Oregon; White Rock Trail in Douglas County is one of them. Finally, backcountry hiking time is here again, and White Rock Trail in Douglas County, Oregon is a magnificent spot for getting out. Every trail in Oregon has its own unique beauty. There are not too many great outdoors hiking trails in this area. White Rock Trail is not that long but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. Pretty far from Roseburg you come across White Rock Trail,
    but when you spend some time backcountry hiking here you will feel like a whole new person. All through the summer months at White Rock Trail temperatures are commonly in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in
the 40's while the cold winter nights at White Rock Trail are in the 30's. This area does get very dry sometimes, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. This backcountry trail has two trailheads which means you have the option of backcountry backpacking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. White Rock Trail is 5.4 miles long it's a mid length walk. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. White Rock Trail gets a typical amount of precipitation; the month of November is the wettest with most  
of the rain, and the driest month is July. This backcountry walk shouldn't take more than 5 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. This great outdoors trail is a mid length great outdoors trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes this great outdoors hiking trail good for the average hiker looking for an enjoyable adventure. The total elevation difference for this backcountry trail is 1,871 feet, and that is about average. Different parts of White Rock Trail are at very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. When you're here in Oregon hiking along one of its trails is a nice way to spend some time. The charming great outdoors trails of the Southern Cascade Range are a magnificent way to explore these mountains.

Briefly about the general area:
Curtin Creek is a perfect place to take a look at. Umpqua River - South is a great whitewater spot in close proximity to White Rock Trail, and Yellow Jacket Spring is a delightful location to visit while you're at White Rock Trail.
That right there is heaps of exciting things already but it goes on, the Southern Cascade Range has it all. Shadow Falls Campground is a great campground nearby, and do stop at Johnson Creek if you're here at White Rock Trail. White Rock Trail is a brilliant place to visit for more than one day, Tiller Ranger District is a brilliant place to camp nearby, and a short visit to White Rock Springs is always worthwhile.
