This trail has a total elevation difference of 1,871 feet which is about average. There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can walk it just one way. This hiking and backpacking trail sometimes gets very dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. White Rock Trail is not that long but it's always wonderful to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. Different parts of White Rock Trail are at very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. With its 5.4 miles of walking distance it's a mid length walk. This backcountry trek shouldn't take more than 5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that.
