are in the 80's, and the nighttime is a tad cooler of course, commonly in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to West Eagle Trail. There's not much difference in elevation along the hiking trail, so you won’t have to worry
about different climate zones along your backcountry walk.
Briefly about the general area: Camping is available at Main Eagle Bridge Campground, and West Eagle Meadow is a beautiful place any time of year. If you're here at West Eagle Trail, you could take a look
at Grove Creek, and Universal Spring is always fun to check out. Having a great time in the Wallowa Mountains is painless. It's a perfect idea to have a look at Jim Creek, it's near West Eagle Trail; if you came for an overnight stay Hells Canyon Packers is a nice site to camp.
