Trail has a total elevation difference of 422 feet which is a lower than average number. Welch Creek Trail has only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to walk it normally. Backpacking trails like this one here in the Blue Mountains are a really wonderful way to spend quality

Briefly about the general area: Get yourself
into a kayak and hit John Day River - North Fork. There's so much to do here at Welch Creek Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Trough Creek Campground is a brilliant location for that. Now, you may imagine that's lots but there's even more exciting stuff to do here in
the Blue Mountains. A spree to Kelsay Spring will fill your soul with nice feelings; if you came to camp Lehman Hot Springs is a splendid site to do that.
