There's not much difference in elevation along Washboard Trail, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole great outdoors hiking trail. is reasonably dehydrated typically; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most snow, and July is when it's the driest. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. Washboard Trail is a very long wilderness trail having an average
number of uphill miles which makes it an outstanding backpacking and hiking trail for experienced backcountry walkers in delightful shape.
Briefly about the general area: Just can't get enough of the Wallowa Mountains. Granite Creek is a perfect place to stop by; don't
leave Washboard Trail without first paying a visit to Minam Falls. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things at Washboard Trail. You are close to Monument Point since you're here at Washboard Trail, and Washboard Trail is a good location to visit for more
than one day, Goebel's is a good location to camp nearby. You should positively dedicate some time to Corral Basin if you're here at Washboard Trail, and while you're here why not have a look at Sturgil Saddle. And if that's not enough there's a heap more cool stuff to do in
the Wallowa Mountains. Do set aside some time for Miner Basin while you're here at Washboard Trail; Goat Mountain Spring is an inspiring place to check out while you're here. Miner Basin Creek is a nice local stream. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Washboard Trail has to offer, you can camp at Wallowa Valley Stay and wash.
