Oregon hiking trails - Wall Creek Trail, Blue Mountains, Grant County

is a location that is relatively dried out mostly; the wettest month of the year is mostly November, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month of the year is July. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. This neighborhood does get very dry sometimes, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. This is a two-ended hiking and backpacking trail with two trailheads which means you have the option of backcountry hiking it one way if you have  
someone to pick you up at the other end. Hiking and backpacking trails like this one here in the Blue Mountains are a wonderful way to explore these mountains. The length of this trail is about average with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it an excellent backpacking and hiking trail for the average person looking for an excellent adventure. The number of backpacking and hiking trails in this area is not very high. When you're here in Oregon backcountry trekking along one of its wilderness hiking trails is a good way to spend some time. The time needed for this trek is roughly 5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. With its 5.6 miles of walking distance it's an average length wilderness trail. There are wilderness hiking trails all over Oregon; Wall Creek Trail in Grant County is one of them. Wall Creek Trail has a total elevation difference of 552 feet which is a lower than average number. Every Oregon wilderness hiking trail has something unique to offer.

It's a splendid idea to check out Colvin Creek, it's near Wall Creek Trail, and Bull Prairie Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff at Wall Creek Trail. Wall Creek Trail is a good spot to visit for more than one day, Lazy Wolf Resort is a good spot to camp nearby.
A quick trip to Johnson Creek in close proximity to Wall Creek Trail is a good idea. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Wall Creek Trail has to offer, you can camp at Elkhorn Tavern and RV Park. Now, you may believe that's loads but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Blue Mountains. Don't leave Wall Creek Trail without first paying a visit to Bull Prairie Spring; dropping by John Day Fossil Beds National Monument is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. Yearling Spring is an inspiring location to pop by while you're here, and a pleasant spree to Rocky Flat is a tremendous way to spend an afternoon.
