    backpacking. The number of wilderness hiking trails in this region is not very high. This is a wilderness trail that is quite long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. You should count on this hike taking about 8 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you
could get stuck so be prepared for that. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. Some parts of this backpacking trail are much higher up than other parts of the backpacking trail, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Utley Creek Trail with nighttime lows in the 40's. Highs throughout the winter are ordinarily in the 30's with temperatures at Utley Creek Trail dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. It is very dry here at Utley Creek

This is a two-ended backpacking trail with two trailheads which means you have the option of backcountry backpacking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. This hiking trail is a hiking trail of delightful length with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this a very tough wilderness hiking trail for advanced backcountry hikers looking for a splendid challenge. Backcountry trails like this one here in the Blue Mountains are a very delightful way to see these highlands. With its 9.4 miles of walking distance; it's a long backpacking trail. At parts of the year this vicinity sees very little rain, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire.

Briefly about the general area:
If you came to camp The Timbers Inn and RV Park is a great place to do that, and some of the water nearby flows, like Latigo Creek. So much entertaining stuff to do at Utley Creek Trail, so little time.
Put some time aside to spend at Jacks Spring while you're here at Utley Creek Trail, and a nice spot like Whiskey Flat here at Utley Creek Trail is too great to miss. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Blue Mountains. Alder Creek is a good place to take a look at, and if you feel like a little side trip, try Hack Hollow. Whiskey Spring is always fun to check out, and don’t forget to pop by Spring Valley Meadow while you're here at Utley Creek Trail.
