Oregon hiking trails - Upper Chetco Trail, Coast Ranges, Curry County

The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Upper Chetco Trail sink into the 30's. This backcountry hiking trail has two trailheads, so hiking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. With its 33.4 miles of walking distance; it's a long backpacking trail. As long as you like the fresh air you will like Oregon. Upper Chetco Trail has a total elevation difference of 3,391 feet which is a higher than average number. The high level of rain makes Upper Chetco Trail a quite wet place; the month with most of the rain is December, and July on the other hand is the driest. Hiking trails are splendid and plentiful in Oregon; one of those is Upper Chetco Trail in Curry County. Of course, this is an overnight walk, 5 days normally, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need.

Briefly about the general area:
Some nearby water includes Granite Creek, and do put some time aside to spend at Gold Basin Springs if you're here at Upper Chetco Trail. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Coast Ranges. Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Rogue River, and a great site like Gold Basin here at Upper Chetco Trail is too good to miss.
Yep, outdoors exciting things truly is abundant here in the Coast Ranges. Illinois River has a great whitewater paddling spot close by, and Box Canyon Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth stopping at. It's always good to visit Submarine Hole, and close by you'll discover a wooded vicinity called Siskiyou National Forest.
A great spot to stop at close to Upper Chetco Trail is Chetco Bar. There's so much to do here at Upper Chetco Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Agness RV Park is a nice site for that. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Upper Chetco Trail. Lately Prairie is right here at Upper Chetco Trail; you can stay the night at Meadow Creek Campground.
