This is one of many wilderness trails in the surrounding area. Upper Chetco Trail is a wet site that gets a large amount of rain; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is July. This area does
    get very dry sometimes, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Each one of the many hiking and backpacking trails of Oregon has something unique to offer. The total elevation difference for Upper Chetco Trail is 3,391 feet which is higher than
average. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Different parts of this wilderness trail are at very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the wilderness trail could be very different from other parts of it. This backpacking trail has two trailheads, so backcountry hiking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. This is a long backpacking and hiking trail, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Trekking here in the Coast Ranges is an outstanding way to explore these mountains. Outdoors folks generally  
like this part of Oregon. Upper Chetco Trail is 33.4 miles long; it's considered a longer backcountry trek. For the period of the warmest time of the year at Upper Chetco Trail temperatures are frequently in the 70's while night lows are regularly in the 50's. All through the winter this site gets highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Upper Chetco Trail. Of course, this is an overnight hike, 5 days normally, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. Upper Chetco Trail is not very close to Crescent City North at all, but when you spend some time backcountry backpacking here you will feel like a whole new person. This hiking and backpacking trail is a very long hiking and backpacking trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes it a brilliant wilderness trail for experienced backcountry walkers in glorious shape.

Briefly about the general area:
Just can't get enough of Upper Chetco Trail. Siskiyou National Forest is a forest next to Upper Chetco Trail that you can go to. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Upper Chetco Trail has to offer, you can camp at Meadow Creek Campground. This place, the Coast Ranges, has so much outdoors amusing stuff. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Rogue River; don't leave Upper Chetco Trail without first paying a visit to Submarine Hole.
Take a little tour to Box Canyon Creek if you're here at Upper Chetco Trail; a journey to Gold Basin Springs will fill your spirit with pleasant feelings. So much exciting stuff to do in the Coast Ranges, not enough time. Everybody loves Lately Prairie. There's so much to do here at Upper Chetco Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Agness RV Park is a great spot for that. Gold Basin is right here at Upper Chetco Trail; drift down the rapids of Illinois River in a kayak.
Chetco Bar is a great site to stop at nearby, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Granite Creek.
