During the months of summer at Umbrella Falls Trail highs are regularly in the 70's while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 40's, and overnight lows through the wintertime for Umbrella Falls Trail tend  
to be in the 30's. This trail goes through some very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the trail. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. The length of this hiking trail is about average with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this backcountry hiking trail magnificent for the average trekker looking for an amusing adventure. A lengthy trip separates Hood River from Umbrella Falls Trail, but many folks like to walk here to be in the neighborhood of the fresh air. This backcountry trail has only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to backcountry trek it normally. This walk shouldn't take more than 4.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. With its 5.4 miles of walking distance it's an average length trail.

That right there is plenty of entertaining stuff already but it goes on, the Central Cascade Range has it all. Umbrella Falls Trail is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Salmon River Campground is a splendid local campground, and if you're stopping by from Hood River, you won't be the only one. Don’t forget to take a look at Elk Meadows if you're here at Umbrella Falls Trail, and close by you find great spots like Bennett Pass.
This place, Umbrella Falls Trail, it absolutely has so much outdoors exciting stuff. A magnificent location like Hood River Meadows here at Umbrella Falls Trail is too great to miss, and unsurprisingly Mitchell Creek flows through this neighborhood. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Central Cascade Range. Don't leave Umbrella Falls Trail without first paying a visit to Switchback Falls; there are some nice whitewater spots on White River. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Hood River - Lake Branch; there's some flowing water nearby, North Fork Iron Creek is a stream you can check out during your stay.
There's so much to do here at Umbrella Falls Trail that you need to camp here for a while, White River Park Campground is a perfect spot for that, and Umbrella Falls is an inspiring location to take a look at during your stay.
