Oregon hiking trails - Twin Meadows Trail, Central Cascade Range, Marion County

   
  You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while, and if you happen to be in Marion County of Oregon, Twin Meadows Trail is a perfect local hiking and backpacking trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. When you're here in Oregon hiking along one of its trails is always an exciting thing to do. Quite far from Hood River you discover Twin Meadows Trail, but when you hike it you're always having a perfect time. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. This is a two-ended wilderness trail with two trailheads which means
    you have the option of backcountry trekking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. Every trail in Oregon has its own character. Twin Meadows Trail gets a great deal of water; most of the rain falls through December; July meanwhile is the driest month. Even
though this is not a very long backpacking and hiking trail you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. Twin Meadows Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,063 feet which is about average. The wilderness trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. This hike shouldn't take more than 4 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. For the period of the summertime highs here at  
Twin Meadows Trail reach the 70's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. During the wintertime highs are regularly in the 40's while Twin Meadows Trail night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 30's. With its 4.6 miles of walking distance it's a mid length backcountry walk. Backcountry backpacking here in Oregon is a must. Sometimes this backpacking and hiking trail gets really dry, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! The Central Cascade Range is great! Twin Meadows Trail is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Trout Lake Campground is a tremendous local campground, and Collawash River is a great whitewater spot close by.
There's so much to do here at Twin Meadows Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Lemiti Campground is a wonderful spot for that, and in case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clackamas River. Getting to Berry Creek from Twin Meadows Trail is painless, and do set aside some time for Twin Meadows if you're here at Twin Meadows Trail.
