Oregon hiking trails - Tom Dick Trail, Central Cascade Range, Clackamas County

Tom Dick Trail gets a large amount of water; all through December this region sees the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Tom Dick Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,309 feet
    which is about average. There's not much difference in elevation along Tom Dick Trail which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. This part of Oregon is always a diversion to go to during backcountry hiking season. Through the summer at Tom Dick Trail highs
are mostly in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs are generally in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Tom Dick Trail. If you happen to be in Oregon, why not go backcountry backpacking, it is an outstanding idea. The time needed for this backcountry trek is roughly 4.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Tom Dick Trail has only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to backcountry trek it normally. There are so many backcountry  
trails in this vicinity. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. Being 5 miles long it's a mid length backcountry trek. Put on your trekking shoes, and hit the trail, Tom Dick Trail in Clackamas County, Oregon is just the spot. Sometimes this wilderness hiking trail gets really dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. The charming hiking and backpacking trails of the Central Cascade Range are a really perfect way to spend quality time in the fresh air. This hiking and backpacking trail is a normal length hiking and backpacking trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes it an excellent backcountry trail for the average person looking for an excellent adventure. This wilderness hiking trail is not that long but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens.

Briefly about the general area:
If you have a thing about the outdoors you'll have a thing about it here in the Central Cascade Range. High Cascade Snowboard Camp is a tremendous campground nearby, and don't leave Tom Dick Trail without first paying a visit to Yocum Falls. You'll meet a lot of people from Hood River here, and Sandy River is a tremendous whitewater spot nearby.
Don’t forget to go to Summit Meadows while you're here at Tom Dick Trail, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Zigzag River. This place, the Central Cascade Range, has so much outdoors exciting things. You feel that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. If you want a little side visit, try Sand Canyon; some close by water includes Swim Creek.
Stay the night at Barlow Campground, and some delightful nature is available in Mount Hood National Forest.
