This great outdoors hiking trail has two trailheads, so backcountry trekking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. Tire Mountain Trail has a total elevation difference of 722 feet which is lower than average. With its 4.8 miles of walking distance it's a mid length trek. This backcountry trek shouldn't take more than 4 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Sometimes this hiking trail gets really dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. Tire Mountain Trail is not that long but it's always pleasant to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. The hiking trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your trek.
