dress differently at different elevations. The time needed for this backcountry walk is roughly 6 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster.
Briefly about the general area: There's so much to do here at Three Creek Trail that you need to
camp here for a while, Tombstone Prairie Campground is a pleasant spot for that. Get wet paddling on Blue River, and unsurprisingly Three Creek is a wonderful stream that is worth going to. Stay the night at Country Star Recreational Vehicle Park, and get yourself into a kayak
and hit Santiam River - Middle. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things in the Central Cascade Range. Near Three Creek Trail you stumble on brilliant places like Bear Pass, and why not stop at nearby Toll Creek since you're here at Three Creek Trail.
