or closures before you go. You spend the whole trek in roughly the same elevation zone which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. It's a lengthy journey from Hood River to Thomas Trail, but it is a really pleasant wilderness hiking trail. Thomas Trail is
not that long but it's always wonderful to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. This vicinity does get very dry sometimes, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Thomas Trail sees pretty high levels of rain; through
December this area sees the most rain; July is the month with the least moisture. These backcountry hiking trails here in the Central Cascade Range are a very fine way to see these hills.

Range, just phenomenal. Thomas Trail is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Detroit Lake State Park is a splendid local campground, and camping at B and B Rentals is always a good experience.
