Oregon hiking trails - Swift Creek Trail, Central Cascade Range, Lane County

   
  Swift Creek Trail being so isolated from the nearest city, many folks like to hike here to be near the fresh air. Hiking trails for backcountry backpacking, and backpacking can be found all over Oregon, and one of those is Swift Creek Trail in Lane County. When you're here in Oregon backcountry backpacking along one of its backcountry trails is so much fun. Different parts of Swift Creek Trail are at very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the hiking and backpacking trail.
    Backcountry trekking in Oregon is such an excellent thing to do. This hike should take you about 1.5 days, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. Throughout the months of summer here at Swift Creek Trail, high temperatures generally reach the 80's. Once the sun
is down it drops down to the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Swift Creek Trail drop into the 20's. This is just one of a large number of wilderness trails in this vicinity. The striking backpacking trails of the Central Cascade Range are the best way to enjoy these peaks. This backpacking trail is many miles long having an average number of uphill miles which makes this wilderness trail pleasant for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. And keep in mind that there  
could be temporary safety restrictions in location. Every Oregon backcountry trail is different from the others. This area does get very dry sometimes, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. The total elevation difference for Swift Creek Trail is 2,139 feet which is an average number. Being 11.6 miles long; it's considered a longer trek. There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end, so backcountry hiking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. Swift Creek Trail sees pretty high levels of rainfall; December is when you get the most rain here while July is generally the driest month. Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in the fresh air a bit, and if you happen to be in Lane County of Oregon, Swift Creek Trail is an outstanding local great outdoors trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Keep in mind that this is a long backpacking trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies.

Briefly about the general area:
There's no way someone can get bored here in the Central Cascade Range. So much cool stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range, not enough time. Some close by water includes Bear Creek, and drift down the rapids of Salt Creek in a kayak.
If only every place had this much outdoors cool things, what a great globe it would be. While staying at Swift Creek Trail you could always look at Pioneer Gulch, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Chuckle Springs. Swift Creek Trail is a wonderful place to visit for more than one day, Shelter Cove Resort is a wonderful place to camp nearby, and a visit to Swift Creek Trail wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Indigo Springs. Paddling on Hills Creek is so much fun, and a tour to Wolf Prairie rejuvenates the soul.
Oakridge RV Park is a magnificent campground nearby, and getting to Moss Creek from Swift Creek Trail is uncomplicated.
