difference for Swift Creek Trail is 2,139 feet which is an average number. Being 11.6 miles long; it's considered a longer trek. There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end, so backcountry hiking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. Swift Creek
Trail sees pretty high levels of rainfall; December is when you get the most rain here while July is generally the driest month. Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in the fresh air a bit, and if you happen to be in Lane County of Oregon, Swift Creek Trail is an
outstanding local great outdoors trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Keep in mind that this is a long backpacking trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies.
Briefly about the general area: There's no way someone can get bored here in the Central Cascade Range.
So much cool stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range, not enough time. Some close by water includes Bear Creek, and drift down the rapids of Salt Creek in a kayak. If only every place had this much outdoors cool things, what a great globe it would be. While staying at Swift
Creek Trail you could always look at Pioneer Gulch, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Chuckle Springs. Swift Creek Trail is a wonderful place to visit for more than one day, Shelter Cove Resort is a wonderful place to camp nearby, and a visit to Swift Creek Trail
wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Indigo Springs. Paddling on Hills Creek is so much fun, and a tour to Wolf Prairie rejuvenates the soul. Oakridge RV Park is a magnificent campground nearby, and getting to Moss Creek from Swift Creek Trail is uncomplicated.
