This great outdoors trail has only one trailhead, so you'll be backcountry hiking it in and back out. Swamp Peak Trail is 4.4 miles long it's an average length wilderness hiking
    trail. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in location. This wilderness trail sometimes gets very dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. The number of backpacking and hiking trails
in this neighborhood is not very high. The high level of rain makes Swamp Peak Trail a quite wet site; during the month of December you get the most rain around here; the driest of the months is July. Hey, time for a hike don’t you think? Swamp Peak Trail in Linn County, Oregon is a really wonderful place to spend some time. Outdoors folks generally like this part of Oregon. The time needed for this walk is roughly 4 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. The hiking trails of the Central Cascade  
Range are a nice way to explore these peaks. Swamp Peak Trail is a mid-length hiking trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes it a great backpacking and hiking trail for the average person looking for a great adventure. A magnificent place for whitewater paddling near Swamp Peak Trail is Santiam River - Middle; of course Butte Creek flows through this vicinity. Santiam River - North is a wonderful whitewater spot in close proximity to Swamp Peak Trail, and Swamp Peak Trail is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Country Star Recreational Vehicle Park is a nice local campground.
