Sunset Trail is 6.6 miles long it's a mid length backcountry trek. This backcountry hiking trail goes through some very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can backcountry trek it just one way. Sunset Trail is quite long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. This vicinity does get very dry sometimes, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Sunset Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,656 feet, and that is about average. This backcountry trek shouldn't take more than 5.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that.
