Straight Creek Trail is a mid-length backpacking and hiking trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes this a very tough backcountry hiking trail for advanced backcountry walkers looking for a great challenge. Backcountry hiking trails like this one here in the Southern Cascade Range are the best way to enjoy these mountains. This is one of a very small number of backcountry hiking trails in this region. With its 8.6 miles of walking distance it's an average length hiking trail. Straight Creek Trail is quite long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. There are numerous great outdoors hiking trails in Oregon, and each one has something unique to offer. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. Straight Creek Trail has a total elevation difference of 2,918 feet which is higher than average.

Briefly about the general area:
There are some splendid whitewater spots on Little River, and you can stay the night at Shadow Falls Campground. Be careful coming to the Southern Cascade Range, you might not ever want to go back home again. If you come at the right time of year, Umpqua River - South offers some great whitewater; Johnnie Spring is a scenic place to stop by while you're at Straight Creek Trail.
A quick tour to Straight Creek in close proximity to Straight Creek Trail is a great idea. This river is so wonderful. Straight Creek Trail is a delightful place to camp, Tiller RV Park is a delightful place, and it's a splendid idea to explore West Creek.
