Oregon hiking trails - Straight Creek Cat Trail, Central Cascade Range, Linn County

   
  Backpacking here in Oregon is a must. Going for a hike here in Oregon is the fine thing to do. Oregon has plenty of fine backcountry trails; Straight Creek Cat Trail in Linn County is one of them. Straight Creek Cat Trail is very far from the closest large urban center, and backcountry trekking is such a fun thing to do, and this is a splendid location to do that. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. There are so many trails in this vicinity. Backpacking here in the Central Cascade Range is a very good way to see these highlands. This great
    outdoors hiking trail is a normal length great outdoors hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a perfect trail for experienced backcountry walkers in great shape. Every backcountry trail in Oregon has its own unique beauty. This backcountry trail
has two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can trek it just one way. Being 9 miles long it's a mid length backcountry hike. Now this backcountry trail is pretty long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. This neighborhood does get very dry sometimes, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. At Straight Creek Cat Trail during the summertime months highs are in the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs throughout the wintertime  
are frequently in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Straight Creek Cat Trail are in the 30's. The total elevation difference for this backcountry trail is 612 feet which is lower than average. The wilderness trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole wilderness trail. Straight Creek Cat Trail frequently gets a lot of rain; the wettest month of the year is typically December, that's the one that rains the most while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This walk shouldn't take more than 8 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Gotta get out of the urban center man, and Straight Creek Cat Trail in Linn County, Oregon is a splendid pick.

Yeah, come up here to the Central Cascade Range for a glorious time. Lost Creek is a wonderful stream that is worth going to, and soar down the rapids of Breitenbush River in a kayak.
This is a great river. Don't forget to take a splendid little spree to Single Creek; camping at Straight Creek Cat Trail is pleasant fun, Tombstone Prairie Campground is a pleasant local campground. Detroit Lake State Park is a magnificent campground here, and paddling on Santiam River - North is so much fun.
