Oregon hiking trails - Spring Mountain Way, Central Cascade Range, Douglas County

   
  When you're here in Oregon trekking along one of its backcountry hiking trails is the good thing to do. Many miles from the nearest town you have Spring Mountain Way, and backcountry backpacking is such an exciting thing to do, and this is a perfect place to do that. This part of Oregon has a brilliant deal of available outdoors endeavors. There are plenty of backcountry hiking trails in Oregon; each one of them is striking in its own way. Wilderness trails like this one here in the Central Cascade Range are a very great way to see these mountains. When
    was the last time you got out in nature a bit? Spring Mountain Way in Douglas County, Oregon is a perfect place for getting out. Spring Mountain Way is a wet spot that gets lots of rain; during November this neighborhood sees the most rain, and July on the other hand is the driest.
And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. The length of Spring Mountain Way is on the longer side with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a glorious hiking trail for experienced trekkers in great shape. There are backcountry hiking trails all over Oregon, and Spring Mountain Way in Douglas County is one of them. High temperatures at Spring Mountain Way during the warm days of summer are in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. Highs all through the wintertime  
are mostly in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Spring Mountain Way. This is one of many hiking trails in the surrounding area. Of course, this is an overnight trek, 2 days normally, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. Sometimes this hiking trail gets really dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. The total elevation difference for this hiking trail is 4,292 feet, and that is higher than average. This backpacking and hiking trail goes through some very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the backpacking and hiking trail could be very different from other parts of it. This hiking trail has two trailheads which means you have the option of backcountry backpacking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. With its 12.8 miles of walking distance; it's a long backpacking and hiking trail. Now this hiking trail is pretty long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip.

Briefly about the general area:
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Cascade Range. Rattlesnake Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth stopping at, and a trip to Soda Springs will fill your soul with nice feelings. Don’t forget to pop by Horse Prairie since you're here at Spring Mountain Way. There's so much to do here at Spring Mountain Way that you need to camp here for a while, Weeping Rock Campground is a great spot for that.
If you love the outdoors, you'll like Spring Mountain Way. There are some splendid whitewater spots on Copland Creek, and nearby you'll locate a wooded vicinity called Ringtail Pine. There's whitewater on Steamboat Creek for all you adrenaline junkies. Oak Flats is a good place here at Spring Mountain Way; Spring Mountain Way is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Slim Chance Campground is a wonderful local campground.
But wait, there's more exciting stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range. Some nearby water includes Boulder Creek, and Dark Canyon is a great location to spend some time. You have to take a look at Charcoal Point when you're here at Spring Mountain Way, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Illahee Spring.
