This wilderness hiking trail has two trailheads, so backcountry trekking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. South Loop Trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your backcountry hike. With its 3.8 miles of walking distance it's a short hiking trail. This wilderness trail is not that long but it's always good to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. You should count on this hike taking about 3 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. This wilderness hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 154 feet which is a lower than average number.
