Briefly about the general area: There's so much to do here at South Loop Cut Off that you need to camp here for a while, Suttle Lake Resort
and Marina is a great site for that; Douthit Spring is a fine local attraction. Having a fine time in the Central Cascade Range is uncomplicated. If you came to camp Cold Springs Resort is a splendid location to do that; you could always explore Santiam Pass.
