  Time to get out, and breathe some fresh air, and South Loop Cut Off in Linn County, Oregon is just the place. South Loop Cut Off is a long tour away from Bend, but there's delightful natural splendor awaiting you here along it. Oregon has plenty of splendid great outdoors trails; among these are South Loop Cut Off in Linn County. A visit to Oregon is not complete without some trekking. South Loop Cut Off is a pretty wet spot regularly with a good deal of precipitation; December is the wettest month with most rain; July is the month with the least moisture.
    The time needed for this backcountry trek is roughly 3 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end which means you have the option of trekking it one way if you have someone
to pick you up at the other end. You spend the whole hike in roughly the same elevation zone, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole wilderness trail. This wilderness trail is a very short wilderness trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it an outstanding backcountry hiking trail for the average person looking for an outstanding adventure. This region does get very dry sometimes, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. During the days of summer at South Loop Cut Off highs are usually  
in the 80's, and the overnight is a little cooler of course, regularly in the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at South Loop Cut Off are in the 20's. The wilderness trails of the Central Cascade Range are a tremendous way to explore these peaks. This wilderness trail has a total elevation difference of 208 feet which is lower than average. Hiking in Oregon never gets boring. South Loop Cut Off is 3.8 miles long it's a shorter type hike. This trail is not that long but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. Every single Oregon great outdoors trail is worth hiking. This is just one of a large number of backcountry hiking trails in this area. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go.

Briefly about the general area:
South Loop Cut Off is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Suttle Lake Resort and Marina is a perfect local campground; Santiam Pass is another wonderful place to go to nearby. Now, you may assume that's a load but there's even more amusing things to do here in the Central Cascade Range. Douthit Spring is always fun to check out, and camping at Cold Springs Resort is always a splendid experience.
