This wilderness trail has a total elevation difference of 614 feet which is a lower than average number. This area does get very dry sometimes, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. This is a long hiking and backpacking trail, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. Being 17.8 miles long; it's considered a longer trek. This backcountry walk should take you about 2.5 days, so better have big a backpack to fit all the stuff you need. There's not much difference in elevation along Snowshoe Lake Trail, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your trek.
