Hi, are there actual driving directions to the trail head on this site? The map shows where it is but, um, there is no road leading to it. I am assuming it is a service road? Says lj
Snow Peak Mill City Trail is 6.4 miles long it's an average length hiking trail. Snow Peak Mill City Trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. Keep in mind that this is a long backpacking and hiking trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. This backcountry hike shouldn't take more than 5.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. The total elevation difference for this trail is 1,142 feet which is an average number. At parts of the year this area sees very little rain, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Snow Peak Mill City Trail is a two ended trail with two trailheads, so backcountry hiking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back.
