This backcountry hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 2,595 feet, and that is higher than average. Being 6.6 miles long it's a mid length hike. This backpacking trail goes through some very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the backpacking trail could be very different from other parts of it. This neighborhood does get very dry sometimes, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end which means you have the option of backcountry trekking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. This walk shouldn't take more than 5.5 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Now this backpacking trail is pretty long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip.
