Outdoors people generally like this part of Oregon. Finally, backpacking time is here again, and Shitepoke Trail in Lane County, Oregon is an outstanding pick. This backcountry trek shouldn't take more than 3 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. For the duration of the warm months at Shitepoke Trail highs
    are usually in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's; night lows in the 30's for Shitepoke Trail. This hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 2,640 feet which is a higher than average number.
Shitepoke Trail gets a great deal of water; November is the wettest month with most rain while July is generally the driest month. The number of hiking and backpacking trails in this area is not very high. The hiking trails of the Central Cascade Range are a very great way to see these peaks. Shitepoke Trail is a hiking trail quite far from Eugene-Springfield, but there's pleasant natural attractiveness waiting here for you along it. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. Sometimes this hiking trail gets really dry,  
so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. With its 3.2 miles of walking distance it's a shorter type backcountry trek. Shitepoke Trail has two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can walk it just one way. Some parts of Shitepoke Trail are much higher up than other parts of the trail, and that means that some parts of the trail could be very different from other parts of it. Shitepoke Trail is a very short hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this hiking and backpacking trail tremendous for the average backcountry trekker looking for an exciting adventure. Backpacking in Oregon is the delightful thing to do. Even though this is not a very long hiking trail you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens.

Briefly about the general area:
Kalitan Creek flows through this neighborhood, and paddling on Salt Creek is so much fun. Whitewater paddling is fine on Salmon Creek, and Salmon Falls is an inspiring location to stop at while here.
You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the Central Cascade Range has to offer. There's some flowing water nearby, Horsehead Creek is a stream you can have a look at while you're here. There's so much to do here at Shitepoke Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Oakridge RV Park is a brilliant place for that. If you came to camp Oakridge Mobile Home Park is a glorious site to do that.
