Oregon hiking trails - Seven Lakes Trail, Southern Cascade Range, Jackson County       A lengthy journey divides Klamath Falls from Seven Lakes Trail, but it is a splendid shelter from the settlement. When you're here in Oregon backcountry backpacking along one of its wilderness trails is a perfect idea. Oregon has plenty of tremendous wilderness trails, and Seven Lakes Trail in Jackson County is one of them. Being 8.4 miles long it's a mid length backcountry trek. Now this trail is pretty long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. This is just one of a large number of hiking and backpacking trails in this vicinity. Each wilderness trail     in Oregon is picturesque in its own way. The length of Seven Lakes Trail is about average with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a great hiking and backpacking trail for experienced backcountry hikers in fine shape. The time needed for this backcountry hike is roughly 7.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. The total elevation difference for this hiking trail is 2,741 feet, and that is higher than average. Different parts of Seven Lakes Trail are at very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the great outdoors trail. Time to get out, and breathe some fresh air, and if you happen to be in Jackson County of Oregon, Seven Lakes Trail is a splendid local wilderness hiking trail for doing a bit of leg   stretching. No chance of getting bored in Oregon if you like the wilderness. Through the summertime months here at Seven Lakes Trail, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's while nighttime lows are usually in the 40's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Seven Lakes Trail. There is only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to backcountry walk it normally. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. The delightful backcountry trails of the Southern Cascade Range are a really great way to spend quality time in the wilderness. From a precipitation point of view Seven Lakes Trail is a reasonably typical site; November is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is July. This vicinity does get very dry sometimes, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Briefly about the general area: Just can't get enough of the Southern Cascade Range. You must certainly dedicate some time to Wickiup Meadow if you're here at Seven Lakes Trail, and why not camp at Hemlock Lake Campground since you're here at Seven Lakes Trail. Don't forget to take a great little journey to Fantail Creek, and Aspen Spring is always fun to check out. And if that's not enough there's a heap more entertaining things to do in the Southern Cascade Range. If only every spot had this much outdoors entertaining stuff, what a great earth it would be. If you haven’t been to Crater Lake National Park, you must schedule some time for it if you're here, and a good location for whitewater paddling is Rogue River - North Fork. Fantail Spring is a wonderful local attraction; if you came for an overnight stay Upper South Fork Campground is a brilliant place to camp. Why not stop by close by Halifax Creek while you're here at Seven Lakes Trail; do set aside some time for Seven Lakes Basin since you're here at Seven Lakes Trail.
