Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's while Separation Creek Trail night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's. There are some wonderful whitewater spots on Horse Creek, and a wonderful site to camp here at Separation Creek Trail is Upper Campground. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Central Cascade Range. A wonderful forest near Separation Creek Trail is Willamette National Forest, and a pleasant trip to Buck Meadows is a pleasant way to spend an afternoon. Sphinx Creek is a great local stream; Proxy Falls is always fun to check out. Just can't get enough of the Central Cascade Range. Spruce Meadow is a striking place any time of year. Put some time aside to spend at Honey Creek Falls while you're here at Separation Creek Trail, and why not a little side journey to Honey Creek.
