Separation Creek Trail is quite long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. There is only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to trek it normally. This hiking and backpacking trail has a total elevation difference of 3,493 feet, and that is higher than average. Separation Creek Trail goes through some very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the trail. This backcountry hike should take you about 3.5 days, so better have big a backpack to fit all the stuff you need. With its 23.2 miles of walking distance; it's longer than many trails.
