Separation Creek Trail is positioned a relatively lengthy drive from Bend, but it is an enjoyable spot to trek. With its 23.2 miles of walking distance; it's longer than many backpacking and hiking trails. Separation Creek Trail has a total elevation difference of 3,493 feet which is a higher than average number. This is a long backcountry trail, so do pack enough food to last
    the whole trip. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. This backcountry trail sometimes gets very dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. A good deal of rain falls at Separation Creek
Trail; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. This wilderness hiking trail is a wilderness hiking trail of glorious length having an average number of uphill miles which makes this a very tough great outdoors trail for advanced backcountry hikers looking for a perfect challenge. Different parts of this backpacking and hiking trail are at very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. If you are in Oregon during backpacking season  
you have to go backpacking. These wilderness hiking trails here in the Central Cascade Range are the best way to enjoy these peaks. There are many good great outdoors hiking trails in Oregon; Separation Creek Trail in Lane County is one of them. Going for a backcountry hike here in Oregon is something that is always fun to do. This is just one of a large number of great outdoors trails in this region. This backcountry walk should take you about 3.5 days, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. This great outdoors trail has only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to trek it normally. For the duration of the long summer days at Separation Creek Trail highs are usually in the 80's while night lows are generally in the 40's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 30's while Separation Creek Trail night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's.

Briefly about the general area:
Separation Creek Trail is in close proximity to Corral Draw which is positively worth stopping at, and why not camp at Twin Springs Campground if you're here at Separation Creek Trail. If only every location had this much outdoors entertaining things, what a great world it would be. There are some wonderful whitewater spots on Horse Creek, and a wonderful site to camp here at Separation Creek Trail is Upper Campground.
And that's not everything there is to do here in the Central Cascade Range. A wonderful forest near Separation Creek Trail is Willamette National Forest, and a pleasant trip to Buck Meadows is a pleasant way to spend an afternoon. Sphinx Creek is a great local stream; Proxy Falls is always fun to check out. Just can't get enough of the Central Cascade Range. Spruce Meadow is a striking place any time of year.
Put some time aside to spend at Honey Creek Falls while you're here at Separation Creek Trail, and why not a little side journey to Honey Creek.
