Section Line Trail is a two ended great outdoors trail with two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can hike it just one way. The time needed for this backcountry walk is roughly 5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. At parts of the year this area sees very little rain, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Section Line Trail has a total elevation difference of 570 feet which is a lower than average number. Section Line Trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your trek. This hiking trail is not that long but it's always good to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. Being 5.8 miles long it's a mid length trek.
