  Hey, time for a backcountry hike don’t you think? if you happen to be in Deschutes County of Oregon, Scott Trail is a great local hiking trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Backcountry trekking in Oregon is something that is always fun to do. Oregon is a splendid outdoors state. Scott Trail is a very long backpacking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this great outdoors trail great for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. With its 19.8 miles of walking distance;
    it's longer than many wilderness trails. This hiking trail has only one trailhead, so you're looking at an in and out trek. There are numerous wilderness hiking trails in Oregon, and each one is delightful in its own way. Oregon has plenty of magnificent wilderness hiking trails,
and among these are Scott Trail in Deschutes County. These backpacking trails here in the Central Cascade Range are a splendid way to explore these highlands. A long journey parts Bend from Scott Trail, but you always have a great time when you're backcountry trekking along it. Keep in mind that this is a long great outdoors trail, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. Scott Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,989 feet which is about average. This is one of many great outdoors trails in the surrounding area. Sometimes this great outdoors  
trail gets really dry, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Different parts of Scott Trail are at very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the wilderness trail could be very different from other parts of it. For the period of the summertime months here at Scott Trail, high temperatures generally reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's. During the winter highs are in the 30's, and overnight lows at Scott Trail throughout the winter frequently descend into the 20's. All the water falling down from the sky makes Scott Trail a wet site; December is the month that gets the most rain while July is usually the driest month. Of course, this is an overnight trek, 3 days normally, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need.

Briefly about the general area:
The Island is a scenic site any time of year, and don't forget to take a fine little spree to West Lava Creek. Camping at Scott Trail is good fun, East Lake Resort and RV Parks is a good local campground, and a visit to Obsidian Falls will fill your soul with wonderful feelings.
Any time is a fine time at Scott Trail if you adore the outdoors. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Minnie Scott Spring; Chief Joseph Island is a delightful spot to check out. Lots of fun awaits you along this river. Marion Creek has a nice whitewater paddling spot nearby; why not stop at close by Glacier Creek if you're here at Scott Trail. So much entertaining stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range, not enough time. A perfect place to visit near Scott Trail is McKenzie Pass.
This site, the Central Cascade Range, has so much outdoors amusing stuff. If you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Squaw Creek, and why not camp at Suttle Lake Resort and Marina if you're here at Scott Trail.
